Net Zero Scotland Projects Conference: Fostering collaboration between public and private sectors
28 April 25 Hazel McGill
On April 22, 2025, NetRegs was pleased to attend the Net Zero Scotland Projects annual conference at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. This pivotal event brings together public and private sectors to discuss strategies for achieving Scotland's ambitious net-zero targets.
With keynote addresses from figures including Dr Alasdair Allan, MSP, Minister for Climate Action, and Fiona Hyslop MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, the event highlighted the urgency of adopting innovative technologies to meet net-zero goals. Discussions covered various sectors, including energy, transport, construction, and housing, emphasising the need for integrated solutions to address climate challenges.
We were keen to attend and explore how NetRegs can engage with others to assist businesses in navigating the complexities of environmental regulations. The conference facilitated some great interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local authorities, universities, and private sector innovators. This cross-sector engagement was invaluable in understanding the challenges and opportunities businesses face in their sustainability journeys. Conversations with public sector representatives revealed a shared commitment to decarbonisation, while private sector attendees showcased best practice and cutting-edge technologies and solutions. These exchanges underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving net-zero objectives.
NetRegs is committed to supporting this proactive approach by providing businesses with the tools and knowledge needed to reduce their environmental impact and enhance operational efficiency. Through our resources, businesses can navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and contribute to Scotland's transition to a low-carbon economy.
